Handcrafted, Pinzy was born in the summer thanks to Anjora and Corbis.com. Pinzy, for those of you who are confused, is a pinhole camera.
He is a beautiful .... being and person who has the power to transform the world around us. He makes you aware in the speed that we travel, that if you slow down, there are things you can see...hear..smell....feel. Pinzy is a representation of the anti-thesis of the digital age. A slow movement, a calming one. There is no point and shoot, rather point, open... wait... wait... shhh... wait... close ...sighhhh.
One wonders why people get quiet around him, its almost like he asks for silence, slowly allowing light to pass, smoothly through the tiniest of holes. The person being shot becomes an actor, who tries not to move for the 30 seconds it takes pinzy to paint with light. The actor becomes so aware of their breathing, their body moving, in their attempt at stillness.

"Walking in wet Mussorie, we stopped and stared into the trees. Aaah, look at that mist coming towards us. Even with the naked eye it looked like a painting, soft at its edges. We positioned pinzy, excitement brewing within us, hoping to capture the beautiful moment that was taking over. Everyone went quiet, as if even our sound would get recorded, we wanted nothing to disturb the peace that was being imprinted onto our film."
